When travelling to Jakarta, it seems like a city that is standing at the crossroads of the ultra modern and very old and you are never quite sure what you will see around the corner. One thing is for sure, it will never be boring.

Located near Wonosobo in Central Java is the mystical Di Hyang or Dieng which translates roughly to “Abode of the Gods” The Plateau is the location of one of the oldest known standing stone structures in Java. These are ancient Hindu temples built sometime around 750 CE.
Nearby is the crater lake of Telaga Warna. The lake itself is an extinct crater which the locals regard with mystical veneration. It is easy to see why once you visit this wonderful place for yourself.
